Since many of its products require customized enclosures to house its complex components, Industrial Indexing has relied on the expert enclosure consultants at Buckeye Shapeform for the last eight years.

For Industrial Indexing’s most recent enclosure need, Buckeye Shapeform suggested a re-design of an existing product, the Emerald EMC-2000, in order to more efficiently and attractively package its components. Buckeye Shapeform utilized its Plastic Enclosure Technology (PET), which is the highest quality, most flexible plastic enclosure that enables rapid and frequent design changes without the time constraints of molds and traditional tooling.

The PET’s flexibility allowed Buckeye to create a unique size, multi-unit enclosure with a metal rear mounting panel, emerald green ABS material, EMI copper-impregnated shielding paint, self-clinching inserts and card guides. Through Buckeye Shapeform’s graphic abilities, the product model number was also stamped on the rear panel to ensure simple identification. Best of all, Buckeye Shapeform was able to deliver this highly customized product within the expected timeframe and budget.
